Most side-by-side’s weigh over 1500 pounds. Our one inch strap has a working load rating of 660 pounds, which is a lot less than 1500 pounds. For that reason we don’t recommend usings our medium duty ratchet straps on UTV’s. When it comes to side-by-sides the crew at OmegaStrap recommends using our 1.5 inch HD Ratchet Tie-down. Our 1.5 inch boasts a working load limit of 2000 pounds which is well within the weight of a UTV.
As of right now, Omega Strap offers one color for each strap. Currently we are working on a camouflage strap that will work great for treestands!
Yes. We offer customizable straps for bulk orders. Bulk orders consist of 1000 straps or more.
If you think it’s our fault tell us why and we will replace the affected unit. If you think it may be your fault, show us what happened and we’ll give a discount on new ones!
Yes all ratchet straps are tie-downs, but every tie-down strap is not necessarily a ratchet strap. Tie-down straps is an overarching term used for ratchet straps, lashing straps, camlocks, and winch straps.
No! If you see any damage or tears on your tie-down, then your strap is compromised. There’s no telling what the break strength of a compromised strap is. OmegaStrap recommends giving each strap a quick once over before use, to make sure you’re good to go!
Moisture and sun aren’t your friend when it comes to storing ratchet straps. That’s why each set of OmegaStrap’s includes a breathable mesh storage bag. The bag allows moisture to exit the bag instead of keeping moisture in the bag.
OmegaStrap recommends storing straps out of the sun. Instead of leaving your tie-downs in a truck bed, just throw them under your seat!
OmegaStrap’s 1 inch medium duty ratchet tie-down has a break strength of over 2000 pounds. The working load limit is 1⁄3 of the break strength, which comes in at over 660 pounds. It is not recommended to exceed the working load rating.
OmegaStrap’s 1 inch and 1.5 inch both measure 15 ft in length. The reasoning for the length is simple: You can never have to long of a strap. You can have one that is too short!. If you find you want the strap to be shorter, just cut it to the desired length and apply a flame to the cut-end to melt the fiber together.
Yes! You can use an OmegaStrap in any application where a regular ratchet strap is required. The difference? OmegaStrap saves you time and headaches. With a turn of the Patented Control Knob you are always in perfect loading position. The Control Knob also allows tightening your slack faster than any other ratchet on the market. The storage loop allows you to seamlessly store your straps, and the flex hook saves you trips back and forth resetting your hook.
